SBNS President's Bursary

Deadline to apply 1st April and 1st October each year

This bursary will be to support work of exceptional value, innovation or research. The total annual value of this bursary is £2,500.

Application is via the SBNS administrator and will be considered by the President.

Applicants for the bursary should be training in UK or Eire (currently on a training programme or training from a Locally Employed Doctor position). They should be a member of the SBNS and have been continuously for at least 2 years.  Award(s) will be judged by the SBNS President on merit, via an application sent to Carole Turner.  The president will consider applications twice per annum.

Applications will require:

1. A one-page statement from the candidate.

2. A short cv

3. Other confirmed sources of funding.

4. Reference from TPD, Educational Supervisor or equivalent


All documents must be placed together in ONE document and sent to:

Successful applicants will be required to present a report at an SBNS meeting.
